Among the new products proposed is the
(ABS) Automated Billing System. This system
will monitor information from the Gate
Management System, Flight Information
Display System and CUTE system.
The information from these varied systems
will be used to create an exportable data
stream (for accounting purposes) and create
an exportable data stream (for accounting
purposes) and create a financial report
for invoicing purposes. The reports can
be customized to the airports requirements
and outputted to formats supported by
the major accounting programs.
Structured Communications:
Using the ASI2000 operational database all of the airports systems are tied into a central SQL database. The system draws information from the airline system, and the flight information system to determine the factors for billing. The billing option is completely configurable to the airport’s requirements.
All of the communication between the systems happens in real time with no delays. This means that if someone changes the gate assignment in the gate scheduler that it is reflected on the airport monitors/LED and also in the billing software. All of the data held in each system flows seamlessly on TCP/IP communications layers, the most commonly used protocol available.
Billing Formats:
The system allows for invoices to be quickly created facilitating the collection of operations from the various airlines at the airport. The airport may create custom reports from the various fields used in the database including but not limited to:
- Flights
- Gates
- Carriers
- Tow Information
- Hold rooms
- Airplanes
- Passengers
- Landing Fees
Reports can then be printed or exported
on any windows supported printer to
one of the various formats for records
or future use. The range of data is
user defined on the system so the billing
reports are available from not only
current data but also achieved data.
