In big facilities environments there are a few operational systems that require the use of a common time platform in order to synchronize their operations to achieve a safety and efficient outcome for the Operations and for the handling of the users of the facilities. That synchronization or harmonization of several quite different tasks is obtained by the use of a Central Time Systems.

The typical time system utilizes as the base information a GPS receiver that supply a very stable and accurate time information collected from up to 12 satellite part of the Global Positioning System implemented by the US Government.

That time base information is used to adjust or set up a Time Generator or Time Server that will supply time information to the Servers and LAN's used in the different Specialized Systems through the facility and also to slaves clocks to display the time information for public and for the workers inside the facility.
