GMS consists of modules that together carry out the necessary operations in a gate management system. In addition to the nodules, GMS can create scenario creation, report wizard report activation, login security, and standard graphs and reports.
The GMS System allows the creation of schedules
and visual representation of flights which
enables the management of various flights
over multiple gates. It easily allows
for a gate to be seen if its vacated or
overloaded.
There are multiple schedules that can be created using GMS. There are Reality Schedules and Fantasy Schedules. The Reality Schedules allow the real time modification of flights in the database, and fantasy schedules allow airports to create an advanced schedule that will not directly affect the operating flights of the airport. Different number of schedules may be created for seasonal or for future expansion.
