A NEW PROJECT IS COMPLETED AT SAMANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Recently on February 9th, 2007 the North American company Zortek Systems carried out the delivery of two new systems in the Samana International Airport: Public Address System - PAS, and Electronic Visual Information Display System - EVID. The performance of the PAS technology will allow the airport to perfect it's system of localization and evacuation information. The system consists of a "localization code" to any speaker or area of the airport. This installation included IP Phones, auto- amplified and centralized speakers, modulation and discrimination for area devices, and routing devices.

On the other hand, the EVID technology will offer the airport a complete information system of flight, baggage, shipment doors and tickets.

Graphic User Interface will reduce the time of training and the errors made by the operator. The systems can be configured easily and quickly to show any kind of information to the passengers as to any terminal, optimizing the Airport's administration role. The performance of this project, which was led by the Zortek System's engineers: Carlos Endara, Ricardo Pantoja and Manuel Ortega; exceeded the expectations of the Samana International Airport.
