JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Staff Electronic Design Engineer will work in a International Company environment involved in Airports & Transportation assisting in the Systems & electronics development and implementation of new products.
Specifically, the design and development of various electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems for Security & Operations.
Will work cross-functionally with development groups.Responsible for directing multiple projects of electronic and Systems engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate complex engineering projects. Direct project activities, prepare schedules, coordinate project with Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, documentation and Manufacturing.
- Determine design approach of electronic architecture for complex systems.
- Design of complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product specifications.
- Integration of electronics into other aspects of products including software, mechanics and user interface.
- Analyze, select and advise on electronic components and equipment.
- Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
- Review and evaluate electronic vendors for availability and performance.
- Coordinate project "release" to manufacturing.
- Participate in EE design review of complex systems and circuits.
- Document electronics including generating schematics, assembly drawings, procedures, timing diagrams and operational descriptions.
- Anticipate and resolve difficulties in all phases of project activities relating to electronics.
- Perform electronic experimental test and evaluations.

- Recognized as a Systems & electronics engineering authority.
- Capable of understanding marketing requirement.
- Applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles to solve complex engineering problems.
- Will determine course of action to pursue long range goals.
- Will oversee laboratory and field tests of electronic equipment and systems.
- Will establish procedures for evaluating equipment performance, and recommend improvements for new and existing products.
- Will track progress of different ongoing projects to insure timely completion and provide finished device approval.
- May act in lead capacity/mentor and provide leadership to junior level employees.
- Need to handle design specification, schematics design, digital logic design, simulation, circuit boards implementation, prototyping, design verification, and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS
- Exceptional math skills are essential.
- Bachelor and Masters Degree in engineering or closely related field required with at least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- BSEE & MSEE Degree or equivalent and eight (8) years of relevant Systems & electronic design experience including three (3) years of management of project development.
- Understanding of the interactions of multifaceted technology, i.e., Electronics, mechanics, software, optics and human factors.
