The Common User Airport System (CUS)
is a flexible, multi-access, common-use
platform for check-in areas, desks, gates,
etc. It allows any agency or handling
agent to use any workstation, at anytime.
It has an open architecture platform,
which supports host-based and local applications,
using any protocol.
The Common User System located at various
areas including Check-in Desks and Boarding
Gates allows the user, if authorized,
to access the various host systems available
through CUS.

Security Access
The CUS System provides agent logon security
and also software release control for
all workstations in the transportation
facility. Once the agent has entered their
name and password and successfully logged
on, CUS will allow access to the VTM Access
Control screen. This gives you a choice
of applications you may utilize.
Access to agency hosts is available to
authorized people. After entering Agent
ID and Password details on the Agent Log-on
screen, those who are authorized through
the system will have access to host emulator
buttons on the shell screen.
The shell prevents access to the CUS
to unauthorized people, protecting also
the operating environment for optimum
application performance. In addition,
it filters the information presented to
the user.
Configuration of CUS Shell
The CUS Shell Configurator allows the
system administrator to control access
to the Shell environment on a user and
location basis. It is possible to control
access by agent and workstation.
For a user to access an agency, they
must be both authorized and be using an
authorized workstation. The authorized
level of the user defines access to the
various system components.
A wide range of system data is easily
configurable from user friendly interactive
screens for both system installation and
on-going system maintenance.
