For such results, product of the effort of all those who shape this organization, the President Torrijos indicated that is " opportune to congratulate in this act to the company Tocumen S.A., and to his almost 600 workers, for the notable effort that have done in order that we have an efficient and modern airport, motive of pride of all the Panamanian ones ".
Besides his function as principal air terminal of the country and door of entry for the major number of tourists and visitors to the country, the Tocumen's international Airport has realized a commitment with the neighboring communities in educational matter, of health, between others.
This way, Tocumen's airport is constituted, not only in a good neighbor but also in a great ally and brother of Tocumen, Pacora, 24 de diciembre and las maņanitas
Therefore, the President announced to hundreds of neighbors of the above mentioned communities, the accomplishment of works for 32 millions of balboas that will be of benefit to 200 thousand Panamanian of this sector of the province of Panama, with part of the income got for the explotation of Duty Free's business in the Tocumen's international Airport.
After the event, the presidential procession together with executives of Tocumen S.A. they realized a tour for the rooms of management, visualization and crisis of the airport, equipped with the last technology as for safety.
